Rahul Gandhi And Future of Youth Politics
Rahul Gandhi hails from a powerful political family of India and is the son of Sonia Gandhi, Congress President and wife of the late Rajiv Gandhi, former Prime Minister of India . Rahul’s great grand father Jawaharlal Nehru was one the founding members of the Congress party in independent India.
Even though his mother entered active politics, Rahul did not show much interest until 2003. He slowly and steadily built his image as a youth force of the Congress party.
Rahul made his intentions to enter politics strongly by making a goodwill visit to Pakistan to watch the two nations play cricket. In May 2004, he contested the elections and won by a huge margin a seat in the Lok Sabha. He started his political career from Amethi in Uttar Pradesh. His victory generated considerable media excitement and enthusiasm. The younger generation started looking up at him as a role model.
Rahul Gandhi has been working on steadily in building a strong image in the political scenario of the country. His steps are proving him to be a mature human being and is building confidence amongst his supporters that one day he will be the future of Indian politics.

Rahul Gandhi Visits
Ramnagar (Uttarakhand)
Rahul Gandhi on Monday called himself a “symptom” of the ills of Indian politics — dynasty, patronage, money — even as his stance on OBC quota in Central educational institutions as also safety of women in Delhi betrayed his unease with the functioning of two family loyalists, Union Human Resource Minister Arjun Singh and Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.
In an interaction with girl students at a resort adjoining Jim Corbett National Park here, he termed politics as a “closed system” and said, “If I had not come from my family, I wouldn’t be here. You can enter the system either through family or friends or money. Without family, friends or money, you cannot enter the system. My father was in politics. My grandmother and great grandfather were in politics. So, it was easy for me to enter politics. This is a problem. I am a symptom of this problem. I want to change it,” said the AICC general secretary referring to his decision to introduce internal democracy and elections in the Indian Youth Congress and the NSUI.
Bundelkhand visit :
For the first time after the Gujarat debacle, Rahul Gandhi will find himself in the thick of political action on January 17 in the much tougher terrain of Bundelkhand. The demand for a separate state of Bundelkhand, which falls in Uttar Pradesh and some parts of Madhya Pradesh, is soon going to become a new divisive issue in the nation. The Congress has decided to back the demand for a separate state of Bundelkhand.
Young Hope Of India ‘rahul’ Turns 40
With Congress General secretary turning 40 on 19th June 2010 , the future of Indian politics turns 40.
What makes Rahul even more younger are his ideas for the future politics, Education system, developmental schemes, Unity and of course the fact that he is still a bachelor.
Rahul Gandhi became the youngest member of the Nehru-Gandhi family to enter active politics when he contested and won a seat in the lower house of the Parliament of India in 2004.
The name Rahul Gandhi has become synonymous with the new face of Indian politics; a young brand of highly motivated and influential politicians, aiming to highlight India’s position as a global frontrunner.
To mark the occasion of his 40th birthday, the state unit of the Congress will take out padyatras or marches in every district of Uttar Pradesh Saturday and also organise blood donation camps to mark the birthday of party general secretary Rahul Gandhi.
The NSUI and the Youth Congress activists have organized several programmes to celebrate Rahul’s birthday throughout the country.
Today Rahul Gandhi inspires not only common youth(by the way he doesn’t believe in the concept of Common man/Uncommon man) , but also the young actors like Ranbir Kapoor who say that Rahul’s mannerisms help him to prepare for his role and also that Rahul Gandhi has been a change in the sense that earlier no body could imagine having a politician moving around freely leaving his Z security behind.
